I’m a Marie James fan, so there was no doubt in my mind that I would be reading Macon. She has a real talent for creating a beautiful love story and she hasn’t disappointed me yet.
Once I started reading, I was quickly drawn into Macon and the characters inhabiting it. This felt like the first book in a series, so I hope that we’ll be seeing more from some of these characters (specifically Carson!). I did get a bit frustrated with the “I like you, but can’t be with you because you’re going to hurt me” thing that was the majority of their relationship. I really wanted Addi to just give Axton a chance and the more she didn’t do that, the more I wanted to throw my kindle.
Ultimately, this was a book that I finished rather quickly and was left wanting just a little bit more. I hope that Carson and/or Mandy get a book.
