Kincaid by Marie James (Cerberus MC #1)

4 Stars

I’m currently binge reading the Cerberus MC series in preparation of the upcoming release of Dominic. I’m not generally a big fan of MC romances. I like my Heroes to be “good guys” and that’s not always guaranteed with a motorcycle club romance. I’ve come to trust Marie James’ writing, so I took a leap and was pleased to find that not only is her MC full of good guys, but they are military vets fighting sex trafficking.

Kincaid was pretty much perfect. He was patient and understanding with Em every time she ran off. And she ran off A LOT. She was understandably flighty after living in the hell that is an abusive marriage. He rescued her and helped her get back on her feet and protected her from her soon-to-be-ex-husband. Her running off so much annoyed me, but I think it did fit with her history.

The side characters were so great. I loved the steady calm that came with Rose & Doc’s relationship. Every time they were part of the dialogue it was like a breath of fresh air. I can’t wait to read Shadow and Kid’s books either.
