I don’t usually read MC romances because I always worry that they will be too violent for me, and I definitely don’t enjoy violence. I almost didn’t read Threat but since I enjoyed Tia Lewis’ last book, Stadium of Lights, I thought I would give it a chance. It did have a few “gritty” moments, but it wasn’t too violent for me. Tia Lewis is a fairly new, but seemingly prolific writer (which I always love). Her first two books published last month and she has three more coming out this month.
I don’t have a problem with Insta-Love, but I know many do, if so, this may not be the book for you. The “meat” of their relationship takes place over 3 days and then we get a cute epilogue from 2 years later. I really enjoyed the premise of this story, and how it played out. You get a feel for how much Nicole loved her father and why she needs to find out who killed him. I would definitely recommend this book for people that are just trying out MC romances and aren’t sure if they will like them or not. It made me feel comfortable with reading more in this genre that I had previously avoided.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
