This book was adorable. It’s one of those sweet summer romances (though set during the spring) that you make you just want to lounge around and read. It’s the 2nd book in a series, but you don’t have to read the 1st book to understand this one. I think I probably would have enjoyed it more if I had read the 1st one, but this was still completely worth reading on its own. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I am adding the 1st book Play On to my TBR. It won’t be read soon, because I have a mountain to get through, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to love it.
The chemistry between Bri and Eric is a slow, steady build. I love books where the couple are a “childhood friends to more” type of relationship, and this doesn’t disappoint.
“We can be friends who sleep together.” My lips curve into a smirk. “Just not, you know, that way. Think of it like one of our old campouts, except inside. With heat. And a TV.” I pause. “Okay, so it’s really not a campout at all. But you get the point.”
Since I’m planning on going back and reading the 1st book, I’m also hoping, that there will be a 3rd. Becca and Blake are kinda adorable, and I would love to see where that goes…
Game On is being released August 16, 2016 from Bloomsbury Spark.
